Shocking! Why Is Corn Yield So Different Between Neighboring Fields?

Corn harvest season is back! Mr. Li shared the results from his V.O.N corn test field. When asked about the performance of the corn in the V.O.N test field, Mr. Li smile and said, "It's growing even better than the corn I fertilized myself." With that, he led a group to the V.O.N corn test field.

Seeing is believing! No amount of talk can compare to an on-site test!

From afar, the corn in the two adjacent plots stood like soldiers, neatly aligned. Everyone followed Li's gesture as he pointed out: "Look, the plot on the left with stronger growth and broader, darker green leaves is the V.O.N test field. Its overall performance is outstanding."

Subsequently, at the staff's request, Li randomly sampled some corn from both plots for on-site data testing. Under Li’s supervision, measurements were taken for the length, diameter, hundred-kernel weight, and thousand-kernel weight of the corn.

▲ The corn in the V.O.N plot has plump kernels, with an average cob diameter of 59mm and an average length of 27cm.

▲ The corn in the self-fertilized plot has kernels that are not fully developed, with an average cob diameter of 56mm and an average length of 26cm.

After seeing the test results, Li remarked, "The advantage of big company products is clear. The corn in the V.O.N test field grew well and the data was impressive. I was overconfident; my own fertilizer was 70 yuan more expensive per acre and still didn’t perform as well as V.O.N."

Due to time constraints, the staff couldn’t measure the entire harvest. Later, Li reported that the V.O.N plot yielded over 100 kg more per acre and said he would use V.O.N for corn next year.

Why Does V.O.N Perform So Well?

It contains four key bio stimulants and chelated microelements that work together to boost chlorophyll, enhance photosynthesis, and improve crop health and yield.

▲ The same variety of corn in adjacent plots showed similar growth during the seedling stage.

Growing stage

▲ The V.O.N test plot had overall stronger growth, with an average cob diameter of 16mm.

▲ The corn in the self-fertilized plot had an average cob diameter of 15mm.

▲ Corn in the V.O.N test plot had more and stronger aerial roots, with chlorophyll at 50.25, nitrogen at 18.57, an average diameter of 32mm, and an average height of 100cm.

▼ Corn in the self-fertilized plot had fewer aerial roots, with chlorophyll at 43.57, nitrogen at 16.45, an average diameter of 26mm, and an average height of 95cm.

Booting stage

▲ V.O.N experimental plot: Corn has more and healthier aerial roots, chlorophyll content: 60.74, nitrogen content: 21.9, average root diameter: 33 mm, average length: 32 cm.

▼ Self-used fertilizer plot: Corn has weaker aerial roots, chlorophyll content: 53.51, nitrogen content: 19.61, average root diameter: 25 mm, average length: 28 cm.
